HOW WE DO IT
Through conceptualization, formulation and implementation of tailored solutions for process improvement, we empower scientists and entrepreneurs to tackle their clinical development needs and meet scientific and regulatory requirements, in a streamlined approval process.
Pets are considered a natural model for a myriad of human diseases. Clinical studies focusing on pets strongly underpin the efficacy of new products destined for humans, especially when it comes to cancer treatment.
Cancer is a frequent spontaneous disease in the pet population, sharing many similarities with human malignancies such as histological features, tumor growth over long periods of time, similar immune system response, development of tumor resistance, recurrence and metastatic lesions.
The Translation Research platform connects new discoveries to patients, and takes basic scientific research to the next level.

ONGOING CLINICAL STUDIES
Clinical Studies of pets with natural diseases help design human clinical trials and promote new products for the veterinary market.
Dichloroacetic acid in dogs with cancer: Phase I and II Clinical Trial
Ridge Research is conducting phase I study to define the therapeutic dose of dichloroacetic acid (DCA) in dogs. This study is fully funded by DrogaVet.
Dogs with different types of tumors can be enrolled after diagnosis and standard treatment. Dogs will receive daily medication and bi-montly clinical evaluation (including blood work) over the trail period of 84 days.
Site: Estima Veterinary Hospital - Taubaté - SP - Brazil.
Nutraceutical Supplement in the Management of leukopenia induced by CCNU
This study is designed to evaluate the effects of a natural supplement complex to control leukopenia induced by CCNU in dogs with mast cell tumors or lymphoma. Dogs will be supplemented at home during all treatment and additional CBC will be done 7 days after CCNU treatment.
Site: Estima Veterinary Hospital - Taubaté - SP - Brazil
Canine and feline serum sample collection to develop a new diagnostic test for brain tumor in dogs
The goal of this study is to collect serum samples from dogs and cats with brain tumors diagnosis by MRI or CT scan. Diagnosis image will be required as a demographic information as patient age, breed, gender, date and type of first neurological clinical sign.
Any veterinary hospital or clinic willing to participate should reach us. Sample will be taken at the site location.
Canine urine collection to develop a new diagnostic test for bladder cancer
The goal of this study is to collect serum samples from dogs that have a confirmed diagnosis of transitional cell carcinoma (abdominal ultrasound, cytology, histopathology). Sample should be immediately freeze after collection. Demographic information as patient age, breed, gender, date and type of first clinical sign will be required.
Any veterinary hospital or clinic willing to participate should reach us. Sample will be taken at the site location.
Injectable synthetic phosphoethanolamine (PHO-S) in dogs with cancer: Phase I Clinical Trial
Ridge Research is conducting phase I study to define the therapeutic dose of a injectable form of synthetic phosphoethanolamine (PHO-S) in dogs. Dogs with different types of tumors can be enrolled after diagnosis and standard treatment.
Site: Estima Veterinary Hospital - Taubaté - SP - Brazil.
A phase II clinical trial for Betulic Extract in dogs with osteosarcoma and oral melanoma
Dogs with osteosarcoma or melanoma diagnosis can be enroll for this study. Betulic extract will be administered after standard treatment or in naive dogs and followed until tumor recurrence, metastasis formation or progression disease.
